Our stalwart volunteer, Brian (www.bssounds.com) has been super busy getting the word out to schools and he promises the February job listings are coming soon! Remember that if you register for the Spring GEC educational job fair, you are automatically enrolled in the newsletter.

GEC still needs volunteers of all experience levels. Volunteers allow us to keep ticket prices to the public low, and keep us from having to charge the game companies a fee for our services. If you are currently employed at a game company, volunteering can be as easy as being a liaison to your company(passing along updates, working with your HR dept.), or even just writing an technical article to help educate our local talent!

If you are a student or young professional, GEC can use your help getting the word out to your schools, teachers, student clubs & governments. Website management and Programming volunteer positions are available too (see below).

DISCOUNTS FOR SCHOOLS AND GROUPS! 02/01 GEC is offering the same discount for large groups and student groups of 20+ attendees.
Independant game companies, teachers, college instructors, and parents are encouraged to check out the bottom of our registration page.

VOLUNTEER WEB DEVELOPER 02/01 GEC needs basic and advanced website help! Basic features would include better tools to allow visitors to purchase groups tickets. We also need secure tools to allow people to enter discount codes.
Advanced features would include adding a basic version of "digg.com" functionality to our website. Such as the function of allowing our customers and GEC members to "digg" or "GEC" educational articles or websites they find, but allow us to approve those referrals for quality before they get posted on our website.
